OUR SERVICES

Spiritual Services / Support

People often think of the Chaplain as someone who comes to pray or lead a memorial service — and that is an important part of the work. But beyond that, our Chaplain helps patients and families work through the tough questions around grief, conflict, forgiveness, and letting go. A chaplain's visit is a time of open sharing, without judgment, with the assurance of confidentiality — regardless of belief or religious affiliation.

A chaplain's visit can help with:

  • Questions of meaning & legacy
  • Grief, fears & regrets
  • Forgiveness & letting go
  • Healing old wounds & resentments
  • Concerns about death & dying
  • Memorial & closure ceremonies

MEET THE CHAPLAIN

A Visit Is Always Your Choice

The hospice chaplain contacts each person by telephone shortly after admission to hospice care. At that time a visit may be scheduled, declined, or postponed — and the chaplain may be reached at any time by calling the hospice office at (818) 824-3277. May God's spirit of peace, love, and wholeness be with you at these difficult times.
